i thought i would bring this up to another thread, because i saw that my old friend gary busselmen and others were baptised so young, as i was.

i recall a few years ago that a wt rag showed a picture of a little girl, not more than 8 or 9 years old being baptised into a life that she has no idea what it means for her for the rest of her life in dubland.. this reminds me of the hitler youth near the end of wwii: brainwashed, young and vulnerable.. here are my comments on the other thread.

They wouldn't allow me to get baptized at 16, then again I questioned some of the baptism questions. I guess that's a big no no.

Just curious, what questions did you question?

I don't know of any off hand. but I know people who may.

That would be interesting, though, I don't know if you can monitor someone else's site. However, where there are computer ~~nerds~~ guru's there is a way.

it was announced at the meeting last night that next week all should be in attendance at the service meeting as a special important letter will be read.

this is in addition to the letter about the district convention.

special announcement is like watching your favorite program on tv. Just when the plot thinken's a commercials comes then returns to your show and then you get a "TO BE CONTINUED....." They just want you to come back for more. That's all. And blood cards. what the heck.. you have to renew those. Your life is totally in the JW's hands with those.

Finally got Medication for Depression/bipolar

they've finally given me medication - i am on a low dosage now, usually its 20mg but i am 10mg to see how it goes and then step it up in a week if i feel i need more, but sometimes it can take a month before your body tells you whats happening anyway.. whoo.. had my first tablet this morning, didnt feel brilliant but at least i know i'm not rolling on the floor and stuff lol..

Quite a few people I know who are JW's have illness I do not doubt there is a connection with it. I wonder if it is from the stress and stuff that they do not see that the society brings onto them.

nothing is pagan about the new year. And making goals for yourself for the year, what's wrong with that? Just another method to their madness of controling people.

How much of the bible....

i think this is the perfect time and chance to see how much of the bible jw's really get through over the year.

i'd like for whoever can post the verses that were covered each time.

and if possible the length of time spent on that verse.

Hey JwFacts. When you said it was hacked. Do you think it was a JW or something. And why would they hack information like that? I think we should all post all the true information we can about the org on as many free sites as they can (yes they are probably reading this now. lol yeah, so the JW's you can't find all of them. And you cannot even do anything about it. )

A side note here, I went to a weekend "get away" once that was the worst 24 hours of my life. The talks did not make any sense to me. Just when they started on something they went onto another. No room for question or discussion. Someone I know goes to every district meetings 8 hours each day!? They say because they want to grasp the entire message. The scary thing I saw was a lot of younger people there, these kids have no idea what they are getting themselves into. I feel like going to one of these (ugh) and posting in the bathroom literature that could possibly save them. They're always pushing theirs out, why not try another method. Chances are they wont read it, but hey if you see something written on the wall when you're in the bathroom, you're probably going to read it. lol

Not being "allowed" to stay at a hotel that I did not pick was a joke. I know about them making money, so I just drove home. I ate out, even brought the containers back. Boy,did I get some evil looks. . I knew about the you should bring your own lunch, you should stay at a hotel, you should not use the vending machines, you should not worship the true God, you should not blah blah blah.. Isn't anyone in control of themselves anymore?

On them reading the bible, what I noticed on those days ( I went because I wanted to see what all the hype was about) was that when they did touch on an a verse, that is all they did. By the time people had turned to the page, the guy was already reading the next verse of another chapter. And because of such a large gathering of people there isn't room for questions, unless it is on their terms.

At my church after each section at least the pastor pauses to see if we have questions or would like for him to go into further detail.

Does anyone know if the WT website would have the verses discussed at the meetings listed on the site?

I do not have the weekly reader guide, but it about 4-5 chapters a week. They break some entire books down to a verse by book discussion, like right now is being done with the Rev. CLIIMAX book, and has been done with Ezekiel, Daniel, James...etc. Why is this of interest to you? If you want a Bible study, you can request one by sending 10,000 Euros to 666 BethellHell, ny..........oompa

lol noo I don't want the bible study from them.

I'm just interested because some of my friends and family boast about how they study the entire bible bla bla bla. I've gone through the bible too, but actually not only read it, but study on it. I don't just read something and refer to the bible as reference.
I really think that they don't see how they are being spoon fed information the way the org wants it to be rather then the person picking it up on their own.
